Hargis Fryman, Jr., 89, husband of 70 years to Ruth Maybrier Fryman, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Fountain Circle Care & Rehab in Winchester.
Born May 6, 1933 in Harrison County to the late Hargis, Sr. & Carrie Butler Fryman, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a lifelong farmer, former plant manager at Webber Farms, an Honorable Kentucky Colonel and member of Cynthiana First Church of God. Hargis loved hunting, fishing and working on the farm.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Tammy Ruth Fryman (Darwin “Huck”) Bruce; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Jo Fryman; 3 grandchildren: Hargis Dalton (Cassie) Fryman, Jaclyn Noel Fryman & Logan Quade Bruce; and 4 great-grandchildren: Maci Grace, Eden Noel & Lyla Rose Fryman and Abel Levi Shoopman.
Also preceding him in death were his son, Hargis Fryman, III; 3 brothers: Russell Ray, Virgil J. & Marvin Earl Fryman; and 3 sisters: Anna DeRossett, Clara B. Wood & Florence Ruth Fryman.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 23rd at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Paul Allen Fryman. Burial with military honors will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Darwin "Huck" Bruce, Logan Bruce, Angie Fryman, Hargis Dalton Fryman, Jaclyn Fryman, Mark Fryman, Jessie Wood, Jr., and Malcolm Wood.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday.
