Marireed (Turner) Goldey

Marireed Turner Goldey, 52, wife of 16 years to Jeffrey Harrison Goldey, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at her home.

Born October 10, 1970 in Harrison County to Rosemary Hill Turner, of Harrison County, and the late William Reed Turner, she was a 1988 graduate of Harrison County High School, worked for many years as a dental hygienist and was a member of Leesburg Christian Church. Marireed found her true calling as a bus driver with the Harrison County School System. She dearly loved being with the children and also being a “Band Mom”, where she took every opportunity to drive for competitions. She was also an accomplished crafter who enjoying making stained glass art and sewing.

Also surviving are 3 children: Harrison Brock (Ashley) Goldey, Ryan Chase Brown and Nathaniel Reed Goldey; a brother, William Brice (Sunshine) Turner; and 2 grandchildren, Charley Lakin & Harper LeighAnn Goldey.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 21 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Sammie Harris. Burial will follow in Ravens Creek Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as casketbearers.

Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday.
